I was at a job that I was doing pretty well at up until the point where I caught the flu and was hospitalized due to complications from the flu. Soo I have been employed by the same company since October of 2018... I never missed a day of work or was late. I ALWAYS went above and beyond. I had FMLA in place at my last job. Should I wait to be hired to bring this up, or should I state this in interviews? I feel withholding this information is somehow wrong! My last Job everyone had 30-minutes for lunch. My lunch had to be an hour sometimes a little longer, this also covered occasional appointments.

Does anyone know if there is a time period you have to be able to file a case for wrongful termination? I have a chronic illness and was covered under FMLA and was still fired from my previous job. He went out on medical leave on Dec 4th had a Drs note, took FMLA from Dec 19-Mar 8. That is 11 weeks. He still has one more week to take FMLA. The Dr has suggested he stays out of work longer due to a medical mental disability. The problem is he is a government employee and cannot get disability. He is only protected by 12 weeks of FMLA. so my job does a point system if you call off you get pointed if you late you get pointed....if you sick with a excuse you get point long story short its set up for failure cause they fall off a year from the time you got them.
