I came across this podcast that hit close to home. I worked in a lot of different service industry positions before getting my start in the corporate world. I've been in the restaurant industry (front of house) for 2 decades, always rising to lead positions everywhere I go. Over the past couple of years when I've checked back on applications I've submitted, I have been told I'm not a good fit for that job (server or bartender) when I am more than qualified. How do I respond to that?
